Model Predictive Control With Disturbance Observer for Marine Diesel Engine Speed Control

The application of model predictive control (MPC) algorithm in the fixed phase marine diesel engine speed is studied under premise considering mismatch and external disturbance. Firstly, steady-state error problem conventional MPC controller solved by changing nonlinear to incremental form. Furthermore, discrete disturbance observer (DO) introduced feedback correction, which can filter out high-frequency reduce requirement on accuracy model. Then, that based DO (DONMPC) requires a large amount online computation, simplified preliminarily converting linear Through analysis, performance two models similar. usually set few reference values, multi-model (DOLMMPC) with less calculation proposed. Finally, designed controllers are verified experiments. software simulations PID carried cylinder-by-cylinder mean value (MVEM). It proved simplification method retains DONMPC algorithm, better than controller. Moreover, DOLMMPC tested semi-physical simulation platform. results demonstrate meet computational power limit microprocessor practical engineering.
